My Story
Hello, I’m Taylor—a wife, a mum, and special education teacher. I created Aster and Sweetpea Services as a tribute to my two children, inspired by their birth flowers: the aster and the sweet pea (my nickname as a child from my nan was also sweet pea). With many years of experience working in special education, I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's in teaching. Special education was not only my profession but my passion, long before I became a mother.
When my son, Aster (we will call him this), turned one, our family embarked on the journey that so many other parents in similar situations face. We quickly became special needs parents, navigating the challenges that come with raising a child with unique needs. Though the days can be difficult, we wouldn’t change Aster or our experiences for anything in the world.
I created Aster and Sweetpea Services to provide a safe, supportive space for parents, carers, and educational facilities, educators and teachers. I know firsthand how hard it can be to wait for crucial services like speech and occupational therapy, especially when the waitlists are long. My mission is to offer support during those waiting periods, ensuring families don’t feel isolated. Additionally, I’m committed to helping children build confidence and resilience in their education through personalised tutoring services.

Taylor is amazing. She has been tutoring our 8 year old who is dyslexic for 2 months now and her improvement is fantastic.
She has also been helping our 4 year old with her speech therapy and her sounds are become more clear by the day.
Taylor goes above and beyond for her clients not only professionally but personally as well.
We can’t recommend Taylor enough.

I was very fortunate to be recommended A&S by my medical centre, as we have been waiting for 3 months (and counting) to receive assistance via LifeStart for NDIS services for our 4 year old son. Taylor provides the perfect service for those like us on a waitlist, so that our son could receive additional one-on-one support at daycare for his special needs.
We are so grateful to have her guidance, for our son and for ourselves as parents, during this challenging time in his development.
Thanks Taylor!
